My students are from a low economy area and a Title 1 school. Most of my students have a single parent or live with grandparents or guardians. Some are fostered and some are considered homeless. 96% in this school are on free-reduced lunch and that number is still changing. They are bright and want to learn. They struggle with behavior and there are no male role models in this school, except for 1 part time music teacher. Yet my kids are so smart. I have been blessed with a bright class. They love to read, but many are behind. So I want to help them any way I can!
