Sometimes the most important educational tools are the ones people take for granted. Machines that we use every day, we assume is readily accessible to all students in every class. When a child can type on a laptop and then print their results and share it with the class by posting it on the wall or distributing it to his group, learning becomes communal. A printer in my class would mean that every child will have access to lab sheets, charts, visual aids and reference tables, even the ones that they've lost. A printer means that a great idea or diagram can not only shared but attached to a science journal. A printer means sharing ideas, concepts and extends learning from me to us.
