The students at my school come from a wide variety of backgrounds. The one thing they have in common, being in Oregon where education funding has long been an issue, is that they are in overcrowded classrooms with not enough school days in the year. It is important in these difficult times that the learning that happens in their day is deep, rooted in best practices, and will inspire life-long learning and curiosity. My school is invested in our students' futures and very interested in the impact of STEM focused instruction with arts integration as a way to reach all learners. My school believes in fostering creativity and has even set aside a studio space designed as a place for playful inquiry. These materials would be accessible to all students grades K-6. They have the space, but now they will have the thinking materials they need.
