This year our school is implementing a new STEM curriculum that includes various hands-on activities to explore the different units and topics. Our students are excited to get started, but unfortunately, we don’t have all of the supplies that we need for the year. The masking tape, zip-top bags, construction paper, and paper towels will be used by my students and their general education peers throughout the year to complete various activities. These supplies will help them build interactive models of the human body systems, observe fossil evidence to see what kinds of events affect the layers of the Earth, explore how energy works by using batteries to make a lightbulb light up, and much, much more. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase students’ science skills but also help them to become better problem-solvers, readers, and collaborators in the process. All of these skills are connected in such important ways that help our students learn more and engage more in the world around them. With your help, all of our students will be able to fully participate in and explore new ideas and topics through these activities.
