Our Spanish, Dual Language Library Program teaches literacy information skills to students from PreK-8th grade. We serve over 800 students on a weekly basis. Many of our students are refugees, immigrating to the USA from war-torn regions and other social calamities. My students love reading and they love the library as evident by our high book circulation. My longterm goal is to build an innovative library curriculum that blends literature, and STEM / STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). Additionally, we are in the process of creating Makerspace stations where all of my students will have access to a variety of materials to innovate, build and create. We are also in need of foreign language books in Spanish, Arabic, Hindi and Gujarati. We are building up our book collection to cater to all of our students' reading interests and needs. My students are highly motivated, smart and eager learners
