I teach at an elementary school in Central Florida. My students are fun, caring, intelligent, and they love to learn. They come from a low-income, rural area, and many of them have extremely difficult home lives. I need to provide a positive learning enviornment where students can choose where they would like to learn in our classroom. It is very difficult to sit in one place for a long period of time. My students have one sitting option and are in my classroom for six and a half hours a day. "Imagine how difficult that is for a five and six year old." I am creating a alternative seating plan that will have a variaty of seating options to accommodate student learning.
