Because of the pandemic, many of my struggling students are struggling even more. Most did not have the ability to engage in distance learning with any real success. Because my students are so below grade level, I use NVAC connectors. My students need to learn skills which could help them graduate with a high school diploma. In math, a standard would be 7.RP.A.3 solve one-step percent problems. The calculators are key to teach this skill. In ELA a standard would be RI.6.2 Determine a central idea of a text. The visualization books and the reading comprehension books would be useful for this. We do a lot of online computer learning. We access the Unique program, PowerUP reading, and Dreambox math. The headphones are important for that. The whiteboard easel is because I have no whiteboard in my room and have to buy expensive sticky easel pad sheets.
