I hope to create a classroom that is both comfortable and gives students the ability to have some control over their environment and learning by giving them choice. Flexible seating makes learning fun and helps build a community where there is collaboration and strong communication. This type of seating can also help students with sensory input. This type of seating is greatly beneficial for students who benefit from some type of movement or stimulation. It helps them focus or process information. The students will use these items during small group work and independent or partner reading time. It will help create a classroom that is best equipped to supporting students learning.
