Who are my students? This is a hard question to wrap my head around. The facts: My students are children age five to six . They attend a public school where 65% receive a free or reduced lunch. Forty percent of my school are ELL learners. They come from various backgrounds where some parents are married, some divorced. Some students live with a guardian, and some are adopted. However, these are just the statistics. If you really want to know about my students, I can tell you that they are curious, eager, exciting, and caring little individuals. They have a strong sense of what is fair and what is not. They have goals and big dreams. And they love with open hearts.
