Students in the Freshman class are eager to learn and to meet higher expectations. They work hard to meet their individual goals which are set at the beginning of the year. My students come to high school with fears and expectations that are often proven wrong. High school is daunting, but after a few weeks they settle in and become a part of the school. I try to support each one where they are. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. They require a variety of support as well. Some come to school with everything they need while others come with nothing. Each child deserves a fair shot at success. Having the support needed is vital to that success.
