My students wiggles have inspired the need for these Hokki stools. It is not in the nature of a seven and eight-year-old to sit still, they need to keep moving for their health and well being. These chairs will enable students to move while they learn. Our school was built in 1952 and our classroom is small, which makes for little room to move around. The Hokki stool will enable students to move all day. According to the manufacture of the Hokki stool, “the convex base allows for movement in all directions, which is critical to student development as physical movement both increases well-being and encourages the physical and intellectual maturing process.” This alternative seating assists in improved posture, enhances attention and concentration, improves learning through movement, and incorporates health and wellness into the school day. This seating promotes active sitting with little to no disturbance and improves blood flow to all parts of the body, especially the brain. Please help our class keep their wiggles.
