My students are the first group of kindergarteners at a wonderful charter school in the state of Delaware that has been engaging young minds for more than a decade. Our school teaches with projects not text books and required skills are taught in the context of a child's interests not embedded in a topic chosen by someone else. The children are allowed to develop to their own potential and encouraged to think outside the box. My students are filled with excitement and imagination! We are currently engrossed in the flying qualities of paper airplanes. Have you ever tried to fly an airplane made from 24 inch writing paper or a 2 X 2 inch post it note? My kids work great together and I would love to give them the opportunity to build an airport for their planes!
