My students are in K-third grade. My school is a Title I school with 98% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch food services, and nationally recognized indicator of poverty. Seventy-five percent of my students are the first generation to be going to high school. Ninety percent of my students speak a different primary language at home. Our school goal is to prepare our students to be college and career ready. We teach them life skills. The kids are excited to learn, always asking questions about different topics; they are caring, honest, and curious about life. Our school has been wanting a STEM Lab. We want students to be able to experience school as a whole, and for it to start now, not wait till middle school.
