By listening with headphones, my students who need assistance with reading will be able to hear words read to them, properly. Additionally, the use of a mouse provides easier navigation while using technology. You could paint a house with a hammer, if that is the only tool in your toolbox, but a paintbrush is a much more efficient tool! With each student having their own mouse and set of headphones, their time on technology will most definitely be more effective with the proper tools! Knowing that they have what they need will provide them with the support they need to be prepared for more difficult tasks!
