My students come from different backgrounds and have had many different experiences. They love to read and discuss what we read together. They love to listen to read aloud and laugh or cry together over the story. Many of them have not traveled very far outside of our state and so I try to provide them different experiences with technology, literature, and non-fiction texts to show them about the world and broaden their horizons. I hope this will help them engage as global citizens.
