I work at an elementary school whose population is 95% African-American and very low-income. I have 26 students whom I teach on a daily basis. As an educator, limited classroom resources (especially computers and books for a classroom library) has been the greatest challenge in my efforts to provide them with a quality education. The computers will provide tutorial and enrichment practice. The books will help them become better readers, writers and speakers. As for me teaching is not job its my gift and calling from God. I love imparting knowledge in the minds of Gods children. I want to water the seeds he blesses me with each year. I want them to love learning as much as I do. When I look into each child eyes I ask God to let me see in them the plans he has for them and then I began the process of imparting the knowledge to help them achieve it.
