They are 23 eager, loving third graders. Our classroom community is like a summer camp. They love to sing and dance and get excited for each others' accomplishments. They break out in applause at the end of every story I read aloud! Our school is a multicultural mix of families from all over the world. We are in a lower class neighborhood with a low rate of transiency. Our English language learners spend a half hour each day getting English language instruction, and we teach integrated units to incorporate science, language arts and math. Our school puts the utmost importance on literacy. Students devour books, and want more!
