American Gods by Neil Gaiman is a modern classic, which explores the themes of faith, tradition, power, and the American dream. I would like to assign it as a book report and follow it up with a Socratic seminar.I like to give my kids a learning experience out of the norm. I would love to purchase a class set of this book to do just that. I know that I can help them recognize the power they have within themselves to attain greatness! This lesson is part of a larger series on mythology and will be attached to some of my favorite lessons that will go hand in hand with this particular book. By donating to this project you will help them establish a literary tradition that will grow for generations to come as well as help these students understand the stories that make up our social fabric.
