Document cameras are used daily by most teachers across the nation. In kindergarten, they are used daily to project a book to the class so that all the students are able to see the pictures and text. In writing, they are used daily to demonstrate how to form letters, words, sentences, and paragraphs. A document camera is used in math to display manipulatives in such a way that all students in the classroom have access to the demonstration. My students will be in a dual-language program, so the document camera will be used daily to help also with the immersion of both Spanish and English to our students. Document cameras are an essential technology for teachers to provide access to the curriculum to all students. My school will be opening its doors for the first time in August of 2021, and we currently have very little technology. There are six kindergarten teachers and 108 students in my school who will benefit from your donation to this project just this year. Not only will the students in this class benefit from the document cameras, many kindergarten classes to come will benefit, as well.
