Your generosity provided new classroom supplies, replacement mallets for our xylophones, a World Music Drumming curriculum, and new instruments for our drum circle - the rain stick and the gankogui bells.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting gifts for my students were the finger lights. We used them during our study of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet to add movement to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The students' faces lit up when we turned off the lights and saw just their hand movements while we danced to the music! They begged to repeat that activity all through December!\r\n\r\nThe World Music Drumming curriculum book is full of ensemble pieces for percussion, singing, and moving. Students love learning rhythms from different cultures, and many of my students come from Latin cultures with strong roots in percussion traditions. The curriculum ensures that I as a culture visitor can engage my students in drum circles from around the world with the respect and knowledge that each culture deserves. The new instruments for drum circle also increase student participation and engagement while allowing us to have more culturally accurate percussion ensembles.\r\n\r\nYour donation has had a real impact on my students and our program. Thank you for helping to make my classroom a place for students to learn, create, and enjoy making music together. We truly appreciate your support.","fullyFundedDate":1762290435108,"projectUrl":"project/filling-in-the-gaps-in-the-music-room/9872002/","projectTitle":"Filling in the Gaps in the Music Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6973943_orig.jpg?crop=471,471,x0,y17&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663183277293","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6973943"},{"teacherId":2248950,"projectId":9778564,"letterContent":"This project has transformed my classroom into a more interactive, organized, and inclusive learning environment. While many donors are familiar with technology at home, the tools provided through this project are designed specifically to support instruction, collaboration, and hands-on learning in a school setting.\r\n\r\nThe iPad with the Magic Keyboard Folio has been especially powerful for student learning. Students are able to type responses, complete digital assignments, and practice writing and reading skills in a structured, accessible way. The keyboard allows students who struggle with handwriting, fine motor skills, or stamina to fully participate in lessons without frustration. Students are highly motivated by the iPad and take pride in producing polished work, which has increased both engagement and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe mobile magnetic whiteboard and colorful magnetic tools have made whole-group and small-group instruction more dynamic. Students can move letters, symbols, and visual cues during lessons, making abstract concepts more concrete. The magnetic alphabet has been particularly exciting for early readers, allowing them to build words, practice sounds, and manipulate letters in a hands-on way. Students are eager to come to the board and participate, which has increased collaboration and active learning.\r\n\r\nThe language translator device has had a meaningful impact on our multilingual learners. It allows students to better understand directions, vocabulary, and classroom expectations while also giving them a voice to communicate their needs. This has reduced anxiety, increased participation, and helped students feel more included and confident in the classroom community.\r\n\r\nClassroom organization tools, including rolling carts, storage drawers, and magnetic marker holders, have helped create a calm, efficient learning space allowed me to have access to all my materials. Materials are easy to access, transitions are smoother, and students spend more time learning and less time waiting. Students benefit from a predictable environment where everything has a place and learning materials are readily available.\r\n\r\nThe laminator, laminating sheets, dry erase dots, and sheet protectors have allowed us to create durable, reusable learning materials. Students can practice skills repeatedly using dry erase markers, which encourages risk-taking and persistence. Mistakes become part of the learning process rather than something permanent, helping students build resilience and confidence.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project has especially supported students who need additional structure, language support, or alternative ways to demonstrate their learning. Students who were once hesitant to participate are now eager to engage, explore, and share their thinking. Because of this project, our classroom is more accessible, interactive, and student-centered, and our students are excited to learn each day. We are incredibly grateful to our donors for making this possible.\r\n\r\n---\r\n\r\nIf you'd like, I can **shorten this for DonorsChoose character limits**, **add specific student anecdotes**, or **adjust the tone to be more emotional or more formal**.","fullyFundedDate":1764925697638,"projectUrl":"project/dreaming-big-with-tech-translation/9778564/","projectTitle":"Dreaming Big with Tech & Translation!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Echevarria-Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2248950_orig.jpg?crop=1703,1703,x211,y786&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762343874378","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2248950"},{"teacherId":9557905,"projectId":8516113,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my classroom.
