As a physical education teacher I am constantly trying to bring new activities and sports to my students who otherwise would not have these opportunities. I’m always amazed that so many of my students have never tried specific sports like hockey, frisbee, swimming, bowling, lacrosse etc. As a school in an undertesouced area my students without the generous donations of Donors Choose would likely never have the opportunity to do so many different activities. I’ve chosen to create a boxing unit because as a woman, I’ve experienced myself how life changing strength building sports like boxing can be for benefiting your physical and mental health.

About my class
