When my students begin the college application process, they have often not thought about the SAT and ACT very much. School has been difficult for them and the last thing on their minds is a test that is years away. But before they and their parents realize it, years have flown by and it’s time to take college entrance exams. My students are usually not ready for the abstract nature of the questions and they need to start practicing in “chunks” from the very beginning of high school. When added as a part of their schedule, they will see this practice as just another rock in the road rather than something extra to be done with leftover time. The Albert resource will provide a fresh and efficient approach to preparing. My students will get to their junior year better prepared for and less anxious about these “high stakes” tests. Less anxiety plus preparation will result in a score that truly reflects their abilities, opening more college options for my students.
