We are the largest Independent Study School in California and our students come to us for a myriad of reasons. We have an outstanding online curriculum driven by the need to access course content with a computer. Our students come to meet with the teachers personally each week and have access to a technology-driven, data informed student centered curriculum but the problem is that once they leave our centers, they don't have access to a computer at home to do their school work. Many of our students cannot afford a computer. If they had a mini computer, they could be very successful in our school. If they cannot afford Internet at home, they can complete their school work anywhere where there is a wireless network.
