Zig Ziglar once stated, "success is not a destination, it's a journey." My students think this way every time they are presented with an opportunity to take an adventure through a new book. They are excited to crack open the cover and dive into their journey. My students are eager, curious and excited children who have an immense appetite for reading books. They attend a public school in an impoverished area in Southern California. However, they do not let their circumstances interfere with their journey to success. They come to class anticipating the days goals, ready to feel safe on their educational achievements and do so with no complaint.
