Our school is located within a lower socioeconomic area. My students often come from homes that suffer from both economic and emotional hardship. However, these 35 students (mostly 8th graders) have made the commitment to promote school spirit and camaraderie. When they walk into my classroom they come in yelling "Good Morning!" because that's just what they expect, a good morning. They will address their entire school and act silly just to get their peers involved.
