My 29 students are full of life, excitement, and an eagerness to learn. For many of my students, Pre-K is their first school experience. This means that I get the privilege to watch these students learn and make huge growth throughout the year. While I focus on providing my students instruction in the areas of social interactions, turn taking, students are also exposed to pre-math and pre-literacy skills that will best prepare them for full day kindergarten next year. I work in a wonderful community. However, the cost of living day to day often inhibits families here from having the means to buy materials to support their child's academics at home. This being said, it it is imperative to make the most of the time these children spend in school and the hands on literacy materials this project would provide would allow for an optimal learning experience for all 29 of my students.
