This computer will make a great difference in students' learning. The school has purchased new technology in the form of a Chromebook cart for the students, but failed to upgrade ours. I have a computer about the same age as my students (10 years old). My computer is no longer able to be updated. Therefore, we cannot access the new online tools in our core curriculum subjects. Technology is a luxury that I want my students to have. My students will be able to access online readers, assignments, assessments, and take virtual field trips. They will also be able to access their background knowledge in the form of pictures and videos. I do not have that capability because when I take my computer home it often freezes or it is not compatible to read updated versions of our curriculum. I want to work freely from anywhere and allow my students to access all materials in their entirety. This donation will maximize student learning as I would be able to bring the world to them!!
