My students are 8th graders at a urban school in California. They are mostly Hispanic and attend a community school with most students living within walking distance. We are in a suburban neighborhood but most of our students are low income. My students are talkative, nice and helpful. They struggle with language, for most English is the second language and not the language they use at home. They are wonderful students and every day is different.
