My students are the epitome of a diverse population! They come from all around the world and from various socioeconomic lifestyles. At our school, 1 out of 6 students are refuges from various countries in Africa, 1 out of 7 are living in a homeless shelter, and the rest of our students are from a diverse background. My students do not have access to real books, but when you get a real chapter book in their hands my students get this huge smile on their face! My students' have the ability to communicate with their peers about the story that they are reading. They enjoy asking questions, and with a story like this one, I believe my students will be engaged and excited. This story will also allow my class to focus on writing! My students will laugh, and enjoy this story immensely!
