Our school is a public elementary school in upstate New York. We are extremely fortunate to have a diverse student population and a wonderful sense of family. We have a high poverty rate. A recent devastating flood has affected many of our school's students directly. It is my hope that the music classroom is a place for my students to be creative, inspired and excel in ways that they never dreamed possible. Music is the universal language and offers students a chance to express themselves. A new rug would be a great way to help my students feel like they have their own special place in the choir.
