My preschoolers are a wonderfully diverse group of little learners with different strengths, abilities, and needs. Our inclusive Title I classroom brings together children with IEPs and typically developing peers. Some of my students are learning to communicate, some are developing independence and social skills, and others are working on the foundations they need for kindergarten. What they all have in common is that they love to play, explore, laugh, and learn with their friends. My goal is to give every child meaningful opportunities to participate and experience success, regardless of ability or access to resources outside of school. In our classroom, different doesn't mean less—it just means we may need more than one way to learn, play, and belong.
