My school is a title I school, with low parent involvement. Many of my students come from homes where there are few personal belongings. I try to create a welcoming environment for all students, which includes giving them school supplies with their names on them to foster a positive learning environment. Having a space to store and organize their supplies will give them a sense of pride and ownership as well as, providing a foundation for learning.
