Bev Tihanksy was a teacher for over 30 years. After her time teaching at Northeast Middle School and Governor Wolf Elementary, she spent most of her career as a 6th grade teacher at Nitschmann Middle School, where she directed numerous school plays, oversaw the school newspaper, and was a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
