My students are special education students in the 5th grade Social Emotional and Behavioral Support Classroom. These kids work hard but struggle with social and emotional problems which keep them separated from the regular education classroom. My job is to teach them strategies to deal with their emotions and feelings and help them to access the curriculum, eventually integrating them back into the regular education classroom.
