Our school is a Montessori Option school. It is located in an inner-city setting. We have a large population of students who come from low-income families. Our class is made up of fourth and fifth graders in a combined setting.

Our school has a lack of modern technology that can be used in the classroom. We also lack funds to obtain more modern technology to get our students more engaged and excited about learning.

We would like to be funded for two ELMO projectors. Using ELMO projectors in our classrooms will help to get the students more engaged in and more excited about learning. For example, ELMO projectors would be helpful to display microscope slides for the whole class. Additionally for Science, we could project and display samples of plants and animals instead of waiting to pass them around the class. We would use them to display maps in Social Studies. We can use them to display Math homework and assignments on our dry-erase boards, and we could the let all students see various ways to draw and solve problems. We could also use less paper and handouts, as we are trying to make our school more environmentally conscious.

Your help will help our students become more engaged and more eco-friendly. Having more engaged students will make our students more successful in school.
