Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We frequently look up things we are studying about on the Internet but my students can't all see at once on my laptop. It would be wonderful to all look at the same images at the same time on a large screen.

My 36 Pre-Kindergarten students attend an inner city public school.

They are eager learners who love to explore and create. The majority are still learning English. Access to information on the Internet helps to deepen their understanding of what we are learning.

My Project

We would use the TV to access live web cams of things such as a hibernating pregnant bear or an eagle's nest. We would access images and videos of insects, plants, birds...so many things! We would also use it to watch videos of us dramatizing stories and nursery rhymes, and slide shows of their photography. We will also be able to watch any current events such as the presidential inauguration. The TV would also be used at our parent meetings so they could see what their children are doing in the classroom and to watch Power Point presentations.

With this TV all my students, all at the same time, will be able to see how amazing the world is.

They will also be able to see how amazing they are too, as will their parents. This TV will benefit future classes of children and their families for years to come.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
