My students need safety goggles, test tubes, eye droppers, and magnifying glasses to bring science to life by conducting first grade science experiments.
What does a scientist do? We want to know too! We want to be safe while performing first grade science experiments and acquire the necessary tools to do so. I want to inspire a new generation of scientist!
Our school is a Title I school in Alabama.
The past few years we have focused so much on reading and math, that science has taken a back seat. Many of my students have not had the chance to experience the wonders of conducting first grade science experiments or even learn about science. I want to inspire young minds while learning science.
My Project
These resources, goggles, eye droppers, magnifying glasses, and test tubes, will inspire my students to learn more about science by having the tools to conduct first grade level science experiments such as color mixing, mixing baking soda and vinegar, milk experiments, and many more.
Science is an area that kids love to learn about because it is all about the real world.
With focus on reading and math, we don't have the science resources in our classrooms to inspire young scientist like we want to. These resources will do just that! Inspire young scientist!
