We're Hooked on Guitars! (Part 2)

My students need ten guitar wall hangers and bumpers to safely store our new guitars.

My Students

Guitars, guitars, everywhere, but not a place to put them! We were lucky enough to be given a class set of guitars but there is no place to safely store them.

I teach music to grades K-5 at a Title 1 school in suburban South Carolina.

We have a very diverse population of children and I teach regular and special education students. Our school has over 1000 children and we have two music teachers. My students LOVE coming to music class and we try to make every moment count!

My Project

With hangers and bumpers for our new guitars, they will be able to be hung on the wall safely when students are done with class. This will keep them from getting accidentally broken and teach students about being responsible when we put our materials away neatly every day. Hanging them will also help with keeping them in tune longer because they will not be stacked on top of each other in a closet. We will save enormous amounts of time by students being able to get their assigned guitar from it's hanger and put it back there when class is over. The requested bumpers will protect the guitars from rubbing against the wall.

The guitar hangers and bumpers will keep our new guitars in good working order much longer than if we had to stack them in a closet.

These materials will be used by all of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students at our school. That is about 500 children this year alone. Just think about the THOUSANDS of children who will be impacted over the years by supporting this project!
