My Students

"What is the weather going to be tomorrow?" is a question that all students want to know the answer to. As Fourth Grade Scientists, we learn how to answer that question.

I teach at a small, rural school in Virginia.

As the only Fourth grade Science teacher, it is important for me to provide a variety of experiences for my students. We do not have access to the same tools and experiences as students in bigger school districts, so I am finding ways to bring those same experiences to my small school district.

My Project

By getting weather instruments, like anemometers, barometers, thermometers, and rain gauges, we will be able to set up a weather center for our school. We will gather weather data to learn how to make accurate forecasts. This hands-on practice will bring our state standards to life.

I believe that all students can be great scientists.

All students should have access to the tools they need to fully develop their potential. Through the donation of these weather instruments, you will be helping my Science students become great scientists.
