Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you look at stars and study them on a nightly basis? Our class occasionally uses our computer to look up things on the NASA website, however our flash drive prohibits us from accessing the site. My students desperately need the opportunity to access more sites that require flash compatibility.

Many of my students lack the exposure to technology that they need because we have very little.

They attend a high achieving school that unfortunately suffers because we have low enrollment. Small schools like ours lack funds because of per pupil spending here in California. Our students love to manipulate and play around with technology, however we have some of the oldest computers in the district in our classrooms. We continue to lack in technology and need to do whatever we can do to improve technology in our own classrooms.

My Project

By donating to this project you will make teaching and learning more dynamic and interesting for my students. We are in the age of technology but cannot seem to afford it in public schools, especially small achieving schools like ours. With the laptop and the speakers, students will have the opportunity to learn and use them for their individual projects and presentations. The sound system will bring presentations to life with the proper sound they deserve and the laptop will offer the technology to access more educational sites.

Your donation means so much to my students.

When the students are able to use the laptop and speakers our classroom lessons will come to life. Since we do not have these resources we are currently at a huge disadvantage. Thank you for your most thoughtful donation to the students' future.
