My Students

"Unwrapped: The Truth About Chocolate" is a student-created exhibit that was formed after they learned about the exploitation of children by the cocoa industry.

My 7th grade social studies students have learned about the violations of human rights as a result of the cocoa industry's exploitation of children.

My students have become the voice of Fair Trade in our school as they are learning to understand the global connections and implications of international trade. In order to do this, however, we need a working laptop and a flip cam so that students can produce a video as part of the exhibit.

My Project

By donating to our project, you will help my students share their research findings with not only our school but with our entire community. The exhibit will be held in April during International Night, a community event in our small town. We will provide visitors with an interactive exhibit which includes skits. Following the exhibit, our guests will view a student-created video. We will also offer a Spanish version of the video to create an inclusive environment for all of our guests.
