My Students

Giving my students their best opportunity to learn and achieve their dreams is something that I strive for everyday. I am a firm believer that all students no matter what their ability have the right to dream. It is my job to help those students achieve things that they didn’t know possible.

It is my dream to give these students the tools that it takes to better communicate with the rest of the world.

I am a Special Education Teacher for the grades 6-9 and I have some exceptional students. These students can do many educational or life skill based things, but they can't communicate their needs or wants to others.

My Project

My request is for a tablet. With this tablet, I believe that these few students whom I have with communication needs will be able to achieve their dreams. Having the ability of a tablet would help alleviate the frustration that communication cards and other tools put onto my students minds. I have the goal to help my students achieve at the same level as their peers. This is a reachable goal, but not without the right tools for the job. Having a tablet would finally help these students to understand their true potential and give them a communication release.

This project is so important because it has to do with the success or failure of some very gifted kids.

These students need certain tools and technology to succeed in the real world. With your donations and consideration, these students could finally see the light instead of staring down a dark tunnel of communication every day. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
