My Students

Save our aching necks! With a classroom document camera, I can have my kiddos stay in their seats and comfortable while watching the details of instruction from the projector without having to have all 32 of them huddling around me trying to see what I am doing.

My students are 800 of the most amazing kids I know.

They are diverse racially and economically. They have lives harder than I can ever imagine at times. But you know what? They come to school. We have a 97% attendance rate- and that speaks volumes. My students actually love art so that makes my job even better. They want to learn- they truly are little sponges!

My Project

I am requesting a document camera. My vision for this item is that I can have kids sit in their seats and look at our projector screen. I can then be at a table demonstrating what I want to show, and the document camera will project it onto the screen. I can zoom in for details and zoom out for whole picture view. I think this would be great because kids would all be able to see first hand, but this camera will eliminate the pushing and shoving and craning of necks to get a better view as they all try to gather around me, cramming in as close as possible. I think that this document camera could really open the door to an endless amount of new possibilities!

My vision is small right now as to how I will immediately use this camera, but I know that it will only grow as we use it more and more and I have time to experiment with it to find out its true potential.

I truly think that this could be an instrument that allows my students to really take their art to the next level.
