My Students

Help us enjoy and master third grade concepts with the use of hands-on materials.

My third grade students attend a charter school in North Carolina, and are being taught concepts outlined in the Essential Standards.

These children love Science. Making learning fun with tangible materials will help them remember the concepts being taught for years to come.

My Project

My students need hands-on science materials such as books, Human XRays set, Matter Activity Tub, and Can Do! Human Body and Force and Motion Games to enhance learning of concepts outlined in the new Essential Standards. These materials align with the third grade Essential Standards. Each unit of study will be engaging and fun with these materials. We need activity tubs and board games to enhance the following units of study: Force and Motion, Properties of Matter, Solar System, Human Body, Plant Life,and Earth's Surface. The activity tubs include materials and instructions for exciting experiments, writing prompts, posters, vocabulary cards, and more!

This project is so important because the love for science begins at a young age.

Students will remember these lessons fondly for years to come. Having the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning is more effective than listening to a lecture and reading from a text book.
