This may seem like a simple piece of technology, but for our students, it is an incredibly important tool that will directly impact their ability to learn, create, program, and compete.\r\n\r\nFor the past **eight years**, our robotics team has been relying on the same outdated HP laptop to program our robots. Over the years, it has certainly seen better days—it no longer holds a charge, has missing keys, and has struggled to connect to the internet. Our IT department recently determined that it could no longer connect to our school network because our current robotics programming needs require a MacBook.\r\n\r\nProgramming a competition robot is much more than simply pushing buttons. Our students are learning **Python, computational thinking, problem-solving, engineering, and perseverance** as they write and test code that brings their robots to life. Having a reliable computer allows them to spend their time learning and solving problems rather than fighting with technology that is no longer capable of keeping up with their needs.\r\n\r\nYour donation gives our students something far more valuable than a new laptop—it gives them **the opportunity to work with the technology they need to succeed**. They will be able to program more efficiently, troubleshoot their code, research solutions, collaborate with teammates, and develop skills that can follow them far beyond the robotics field.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your generosity tells our students that their ideas, creativity, and hard work matter. When the model, video, or directions are right in front of them, they jump in quicker and stay engaged longer.
