My Students

Every day is an exciting adventure navigating the needs of each of our students to ensure that we help them succeed in all they do. Our classroom is dedicated to that goal: helping every student succeed. We do what we can to adjust our teaching methods to meet the learning styles of each individual.

Our students are exceptional!

As a special education classroom their abilities and strengths differ individually but they all share a zeal for learning and are eager to try everything! They rise to challenges and prove to us everyday that they can excel no matter what life has handed them.

My Project

The items we have requested will help us meet the sensory and learning needs that many of our students have. Things like visual timers and PEC symbol schedules (which we use an abundance of Velcro for!) help our students have a better understanding of time and activities and help them successfully navigate through their days. One thing many of our students crave is sensory information. Tactile fidgets will help keep students on task during work, headphones help regulate noise levels for students that have issues with sounds and things like the sensory brushes work wonders for helping students calm down if they become a little over stimulated.

Our students already have many obstacles to overcome in their everyday lives so we want to make their time with us go as smoothly as possible and provide them every tool possible to ensure they succeed, this is where your donations will go; to providing special needs students with the tools they need to accomplish everything they attempt!
