My students need a variety of books to teach them how to stop bullying in the school, what to do if they are being bullied, and the safe way to stand up to a bully.

My Students

Bullying is a problem that has been around in schools for decades. In our school we are working hard to stop it! We have put a bully prevention program in place and we need children's books to supplement it!

My students are smart.

My students are creative. I have abilities in my classroom ranging from special needs to high ability. Some come from homes where English is not spoken. They come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. We work hard in our classroom to all become friends, accept each other, and not tease or bully!

My Project

I have picked out a variety of children's books that deal with the topic of bullying. We are working hard at my school to teach students how to not be a bully, how to stand up to a bully, and also very importantly: How to not stand by during bullying. These books will help the kids relate to characters who can teach them these skills!

All kids should be able to go through school without the worry of being bullied.

If we combat it now in the early years, maybe it will get easier as the kids move through school. The goal is for all kids to be happy and safe! Thank you for considering our proposal.
