My Students

Imagine not having the school supplies for the beginning of the year. My students are facing this problem now. The countdown to the first day of school should be easy and having the supplies ready for students would elevate this issue.

My students are eager learners and excited about school but with few supplies provided for them, it's hard to have a class that can learn.

Our school is trying to provide arts with the new common core curriculum but lack the budget to supply what is needed. 90% of the students are coming from low income families and are receiving free and reduced lunch. I want to be able to provide students with necessary supplies they need. It's the first step to having a successful year and leading the students to become proficient in English Language Arts. Having the supplies in the classroom will also assist me in being prepared and ready to be an effective, positive role model for my students. I am focused on having an serene and peaceful environment for my students and having the supplies available for them will help them not think about what they don't have but how they can learn. I want my students to succeed and the supplies are what we need!

My Project

My students need many supplies such as 120 Spiral Notebooks, five scissors, various stickers and fifteen packs of pencils to be successful learners during class time. Most students at this school do not have the means to get supplies for school. These resources will help my students become stronger writers and readers. They will be creating personal journals and projects that reflect who they are and what they can become. My students will not think about the things they do not have but focus on how they can learn. My students will become critical, and creative thinkers with the supply list I provided.

They will flourish and become learners of the world and not think about the things they do not have. My classroom will be a place where they can thrive and have the same chance as another student that has their supplies for school. My students need a chance and your donation will help.
