Thanks to your kindness, we now have a new printer, a surge protector with multiple outlets, and phone organizers that are already making a huge impact on our students' learning and daily routines.\r\nWhile many people use technology at home, its role in a physical education and health setting is a little different. In our classroom, technology helps students learn to take ownership of their goals, track their progress, and explore real-world health and fitness content. The new printer allows students to print fitness logs, goal-tracking sheets, health projects, and reflection assignments so they can literally see and take home their hard work. Making learning visible encourages accountability and pride in their growth.\r\nThe surge protector makes it possible to keep multiple devices powered safely while we use instructional videos, student research stations, and online fitness platforms. It may seem simple, but having reliable outlets ensures we can keep heart rate monitors charged, laptops running, and health resources accessible without interruption.\r\nThe phone organizers have been a game changer. In PE and health classes, movement and engagement are essential, and phones can easily become a distraction. Now, students have a clear, consistent place to store them, helping us promote responsible decision-making and fully present participation. Students have told me they feel more focused and energized in class because they're less tempted to check their screens.\r\nOne student who usually struggled to stay engaged now takes great pride in printing his weekly fitness plan from the classroom printer. Another student who was constantly distracted by her phone now places it in the organizer first thing without being asked and has been participating more in group activities. These small changes add up—and have strengthened our classroom culture in ways that truly matter.\r\nYour support has helped us create a safer, more organized, and more intentional learning space where students are encouraged to take control of their physical and mental well-being. We could not do this without you, and we are so grateful for your generosity.\r\nThank you for investing not only in technology, but in lifelong habits of health, focus, and responsibility.","fullyFundedDate":1758202814264,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-habits-start-in-a-healthy-space/9509771/","projectTitle":"Healthy Habits Start in a Healthy Space","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lofton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9608247_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722959030395","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9608247"},{"teacherId":9608247,"projectId":9291456,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the new balls and equipment, their faces lit up. They were so excited to finally have enough quality materials to use during class without having to wait their turn or share worn-out items. One of my students even said, \"This feels like we're in a real gym now!\" That moment reminded me how much access to the right resources really matters.\r\nSince receiving the materials, we've been able to use them daily during our skill development lessons. For example, during a recent basketball unit, every student had their own ball to practice dribbling and shooting drills at the same time. This not only kept everyone engaged but also allowed me to give immediate feedback and help them improve much faster. The storage and maintenance equipment has also made a huge difference in keeping our gym organized, which means we spend more time learning and less time setting up.\r\nThe next step for my students is to take the foundational skills they're learning with these materials and apply them in team-based games and activities. Having enough equipment ensures that they can keep building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while staying active and having fun.","fullyFundedDate":1746787310950,"projectUrl":"project/building-champions-expanding-our-pe-pro/9291456/","projectTitle":"Building Champions: Expanding Our PE Program for Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lofton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9608247_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722959030395","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9608247"},{"teacherId":5989314,"projectId":9173785,"letterContent":"Transforming Learning Through Visual Technology\r\nThe TV and TV stand have revolutionized how my students engage with learning. When we study engineering principles, students can now watch real-time simulations of bridge construction and see how forces interact. During English Language Learning sessions, visual vocabulary cards, pronunciation videos, and interactive grammar exercises displayed on the large screen help students who struggle with traditional textbook methods finally grasp complex language concepts.\r\nThe technology acts as an equalizer—students who may not have reliable internet or devices at home now have access to educational videos, virtual field trips, and interactive presentations that make learning memorable and engaging.","fullyFundedDate":1745847007757,"projectUrl":"project/technology-on-the-move-bringing-visual/9173785/","projectTitle":"Technology on the Move: Bringing Visual Learning to Middle School","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dawson-Chadwick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5989314_orig.jpg?crop=385,385,x88,y18&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1595204052871","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kristian-dawson-chadwick"},{"teacherId":9608247,"projectId":8976356,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, \"Fuel for Success: Inspiring Healthy Choices for Bright Futures!\" Your generous donation of healthy snacks has made a meaningful difference in our classroom and in the lives of my students.\r\n\r\nThe snacks you provided have done more than just curb hunger—they've become a key part of how we teach and model healthy choices. For many students, having access to nutritious options throughout the day helped boost their energy, focus, and participation in both physical education and health lessons. It also opened up great conversations about balanced eating and the importance of fueling our bodies the right way.\r\n\r\nStudents were genuinely excited to try new foods and began making connections between what they eat and how they feel. One of the best parts was seeing them encourage each other to choose healthier options and take pride in learning how to care for their bodies.\r\n\r\nYour kindness gave us more than snacks—it gave us daily opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive together. Many of them had never even heard of some of these sports before, let alone had the chance to play them. The joy and energy in the gym that day were unmatched—they couldn't wait to dive in and start learning!\r\n\r\nSince receiving these resources, we've been using them to introduce students to sports they might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. One of the most memorable moments so far was during our first pickleball lesson. A student who typically struggles with confidence in sports found a natural talent for the game and proudly declared, \"I think I found my sport!\" Seeing that sense of accomplishment and self-belief grow in my students is exactly why these donations mean so much.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, I plan to incorporate these sports into our regular curriculum, helping students build teamwork, coordination, and confidence in new and exciting ways. Next, we'll be diving deeper into badminton, focusing on skill development and even hosting a friendly in-class tournament to encourage sportsmanship and fun competition.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students opportunities they never imagined possible, and I am so grateful for your kindness.
