This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you were able to read? Where did you go? What was your favorite book? Well many students are experiencing that joy for the first time in my classroom. Please help change their world one book at a time by adding to our classroom library.

I work with first grade students from a low income area.

My students are at many different reading levels. They are creative and have smiles as wide as Texas when I read any kind of book to them. They enjoy reading of any kind and the more exposure to books the better! Every time I get a new book and show it to the students they are excited all week! PLEASE help us continue our journey through reading!

My Project

I am a first year teacher and my library is in need of some major TLC! Unfortunately I have not been able to add to it as much as I would like. The books and readers theater box will help take not only our library and reading to the next level, but our imaginations as well. Many of my students only get to travel and have new experiences through books! So please help them experience the world through exciting new books and readers theater!

Reading is the key to the future!

Please help keep keep the spark of reading bright for many first graders! This gift will be used for years and years to come and will have an impact on hundreds of children! Please help our library grow and the imaginations of many children! I truly believe that through reading I can reach even the toughest of children and this gift will help me in my goal of reaching EVERY child!
